she said to Alice with a smile.
‘Now, you understand the way things happen here.’
But why don’t you scream now?’
Alice asked, holding her hands ready to put over her ears again.
‘Why, I’ve done all the screaming already,’ said the queen.
‘What would be the good of having it all over again’

那一刻，我的心在跳，好像在等待法官判刑似的。如果夏先生當時宣判我的文章'死刑'，恐怕我的寫作生涯要多許多波折，因為那時我對夏先生十分敬仰，而且自己又毫無信心， 他的話，對於一個初學寫作的人，一褒一貶，天壤之別。夏先生卻抬起頭對我笑道：'你的文字很老辣，這篇小說，我們要用，登到《 文學雜誌 》上去。'那便是《金大奶奶》，我第一篇正式發表的小說。

他的生命就是睡眠；
薩維耶一直在睡，一直在做夢；
他在這個夢裡睡著；然後他又做另一個夢；
他又在這個夢裡睡著；然後又做另一個夢；
他從這個夢裡醒來，又回到先前的那個夢；
他就這樣從一個夢到另一個夢，一連經歷了好幾個生命
從一個生命過渡到另一個生命。
像薩維耶這樣活著，不被囚禁在同一個生命裡，
